So, came out of our home game with 1 win at a sit & go. Plaid pretty well although I sucked out to bust the last player on the bubble.
One thing that comes to my mind and of which I am really proud is the way I played a particular bluff. I ended up heads up with early position against a player who is usually pretty tight. I made standard strong raises, going for about the size of the pot while having absolute rags. He folded to it and I showed him I had 10-2 offsuit. No big deal there, but later on, I turned a nut straight. My cards were the middle cards of the straight and I played strong all along. When the river came, I reached out, counted his chips and bet an amount that would put him all in. He thought about it for a while, looked at me and said something like "You bluffed me earlier so you might be doing it again." and called my bet. I flipped over my hand and he mucked his. That's the hand that gave me the chip lead and put me in a comfortable position for the rest of the game.
Next week end I might go play in a tourney in a poker room in Montreal. Really curious about that.
Btw, tonight was the superbowl, was really rooting for the Bears but oh well... Guess Manning deserved the ring with all the hard work he puts into this.
